Florida Company Wins US Army Contract for New TNT Production Facility in Kentucky

The US Army has awarded Florida-based Repkon a $435-million contract to develop and commission a TNT factory in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.

Australian Army Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 Main Battle Tanks during a live-fire serial as part of a qualification course for Royal Australian Armoured Corps soldiers at Puckapunyal Military Area, Victoria. *** Local Caption *** Armys combined arms fighting system will be modernised through the delivery of LAND 907. LAND 907 will deliver M1A2 Abrams System Enhancement Package version 3 (SEPv3) main battle tanks (MBTs). LAND 907 will also deliver the assault breacher vehicle (ABV) and joint assault bridge (JAB) collectively known as the combat engineering vehicles (CEV). The MBT and CEV are manufactured in the United States of America in Alabama, Ohio and Missouri before being shipped to Australia from Southern California. The initial block of MBT, comprising 27 vehicles, departed the US in late June and arrived in Australia in August 2024. The initial block of CEV will also be shipped to Australia, arriving in early 2025. The MBT and CEV will be located in Townsville as part of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, with small fleets located in Puckapunyal and Wodonga, in accordance with the outcomes of the 2024 National Defence Strategy.
