US firm York Space Systems is introducing the LX/V-CLASS, a next-gen spacecraft platform designed for Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) missions.
Derived from the company’s S- and LX-CLASS platforms, the spacecraft is built for sustained operations at very low altitudes, where atmospheric drag naturally clears debris from the surrounding orbital environment.
Operating much closer to Earth allows payloads to capture higher-resolution imagery and data while shortening the distance signals must travel to the ground.
