Onebrief has received a contract to supply planning and collaboration software to the US Army’s I Corps under the Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) program.
The award expands an effort previously tested with the 4th Infantry Division.
At I Corps, the software will help headquarters staff plan and coordinate operations involving multiple divisions.
Teams working in different locations can use Onebrief to develop and update a shared plan, bringing their work together in one place.
Expanding Beyond Division Trials
The contract follows a year of NGC2 prototyping with the 4th Infantry Division, which used Onebrief during its Ivy Sting exercise series and the division-wide Ivy Mass exercise.
In July, soldiers used NGC2 applications during Project Convergence Capstone 6 to support decision-making across a division under realistic operating conditions.
NGC2 brings together software developed by commercial companies, government teams, and soldiers to support six areas of military operations.
These range from intelligence and coordinating weapons fire to troop movements, logistics, protection, and command decisions.
The applications build on data infrastructure and AI tools supplied by Anduril, Palantir, Raft, and Striveworks.
More than 60 companies are contributing technology to NGC2, with the army planning to bring in new suppliers and replace others as its requirements evolve.
Soldiers are testing the hardware and software during exercises that simulate contested battlefield conditions, helping developers identify problems and refine the system.
