Latvia and Lithuania are expanding defense cooperation with Ukraine to jointly manufacture, test, and develop unmanned aerial systems (UAS), bringing Kyiv’s battlefield-tested drone experience into the Baltic region’s defense industry.
The partnerships aim to give the Baltic states access to combat-proven drone capabilities while helping Ukraine expand production beyond its borders.
In late July, Riga’s government agencies, research institutions, and defense firms signed a series of memoranda of understanding with Ukrainian industry partners.
