Conti Federal has completed the modernization of an F-35 sustainment facility at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NASJRB) in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Maintenance Hangar Building 1643 project is a milestone for the US Air Force’s 301st Fighter Wing, which covers on-call response duty using their F-16 Fighting Falcons and the newer F-35 Lightning IIs.
The deal to renovate this “critical” part of the base was secured by the company in February 2023 and is valued at $8.4 million.
Upgrades encompassed the hangar’s lighting and power, partition walls, floor, piping, and water supply.
Associated works involved the construction of a utility room, egress shop, communications room, breakroom, and fire suppression room.
Reinforcing Next-Gen Aircraft Support
Conti noted that the infrastructure work at NASJRB is expected to enhance the “functionality and safety” of the 301st Fighter Wing’s sustainment tasks for long-term operational needs.
“Conti Federal diligently executed the Maintenance Hangar Building #1643 renovation, marking a significant milestone for our company and the 301st Fighter Wing,” Conti Federal Project Executive Christopher Conerly stated.
“This renovation not only enhances the efficiency and safety of the hangar but also reinforces NASJRB Fort Worth’s ability to support the next generation of aircraft. Our team is honored to continue our commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure for the United States Air Force.”
Conti is currently engaged in additional construction work at NASJRB, including one for F-35A Flight Simulator and Squadron Operations/Aircraft Maintenance facilities and another for a loading dock.
