UK Awards Adarga Up to $14.8M for AI Products and Services
The UK has awarded Adarga a contract worth up to 12 million pounds ($14.8 million) to access and deploy the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) systems and services.
The deal aims to enhance the British Armed Forces’ operational capabilities.
Adarga specializes in AI toolkits, AI-powered solutions, and AI-driven systems designed to analyze large datasets efficiently and support decision-makers.
“We are thrilled to be providing the [Ministry of Defence] with cutting-edge capabilities that will enable them to rapidly adapt to the changing character of warfare and remain competitive in an increasingly adversarial landscape,” said Charlie Maconochie, Adarga’s Senior Vice President for Public Sector.
AI for UK Defense
As part of its strategic priorities, the UK aims to integrate AI into defense operations and accelerate the development of advanced technologies.
In September, London commissioned Adarga to supply its Vantage software, which features generative AI capabilities to analyze vast amounts of data quickly.
The system organizes, connects, and translates data from over 75 languages to support human decision-making.
Adarga’s Q&A tool also allows users to ask detailed questions and receive natural language responses linked to verified sources, ensuring accuracy and safe usage.
In May 2021, the British Army first utilized AI tools during NATO Exercise Spring Storm.
During the drills, soldiers tested a machine learning tool that processed large amounts of data, enabling faster decision-making in military operations.
