USAF Awards HII $195M Synthetic Environment Training Contract
The US Air Force has contracted HII to develop a blended training environment comprising live and virtual training exercises.
HII’s Mission Technologies division will design, maintain, support, and provide the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE) to enable joint forces readiness across combatant commands, military service branches, federal agencies, academia, industry, and multinational partners.
Evolving With Changing Requirements
The synthetic training capsule will be designed to evolve with changing needs, providing training that reflects the “complexity of real-world scenarios.”
“As the battlespace becomes more complex, so does the need for warfighters who are fully equipped to handle any challenge,” president of Mission Technologies’ LVC Solutions business group Glenn Goodman said.
“We are committed to the development and delivery of a truly integrated, high-fidelity training capability that supports the future fight.”
Most of the work of the five-year contract will be performed in Suffolk, Virginia.
