Jaysh Maghawir al-Thawra (MaT)
Jaysh Maghawir al-Thawra (MaT), or the Revolutionary Commando Army, are the sole remaining U.S.-backed Syrian vetted opposition group in Syria after the international Coalition against Islamic State ended its association with Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn in August 2017.
MaT is fighting ISIS alongside the Coalition in the 55-km deconfliction zone around At Tanf, not far from the Syria-Jordan border.
