L3Harris Technologies has secured two multi-million-dollar contracts from German naval shipbuilder TKMS to supply mast-raising equipment and electronic control units for submarine programs.

The equipment will allow submarines to raise and retract external payloads used for communications, surveillance, and navigation, supporting the operation of critical onboard systems.

The contracts will see L3Harris deliver technology designed to meet stringent naval requirements for safety, reliability, and integration with modern submarine platforms.

The company said its equipment uses high-grade materials and requires minimal maintenance, helping maintain vessel availability while reducing lifecycle costs.

L3Harris also said the systems have been proven through operational use across several naval fleets worldwide.

“L3Harris is proud to play a major role in shaping the future of European submarine capability,” said Nino DiCosmo, president of Maritime, Space & Mission Systems at L3Harris.

“Our partnership with TKMS reinforces our commitment to supporting European naval modernization.”
