Sweden Orders Raytheon UK GPS Anti-Jamming Systems

Sweden has awarded Raytheon UK two contracts to supply Landshield and Landshield Plus GPS anti-jamming systems for Swedish military platforms.

The agency did not disclose the contract values or identify the vehicles to be equipped with the systems.

The Landshield family protects GPS signals against jamming and spoofing, maintaining reliable positioning, navigation, and timing in contested environments.

Designed for land, air, and maritime platforms, Landshield features a four-element antenna array, while Landshield Plus has a seven-element array and an integrated anti-jam processor. Both use steerable null technology to reduce interference and include spoofing detection.

Growing Demand

The award follows a 2025 contract for BAE Systems to procure Landshield Plus systems for CV90 infantry fighting vehicles. That contract runs through 2029.

Raytheon said the Swedish contracts reflect growing NATO and allied demand for scalable anti-jamming capabilities amid evolving electronic warfare threats.

“Electronic warfare threats are evolving, and forces across NATO need navigation systems they can depend on,” said Alex Rose-Parfitt, engineering director at Raytheon UK.

“By selecting the Landshield family of systems, Sweden is strengthening its ability to protect critical GPS signals across a range of platforms and maintain mission effectiveness in contested environments.”
