A new US military unit will arrive in Estonia in November, ending a pause in troop rotations after an American cavalry unit completed its deployment.
Estonia’s Defense Ministry did not disclose how many troops it will include.
The US Army’s 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, completed its rotation in Estonia earlier this year.
A replacement was due to arrive, but the rotation was suspended during the US force review.
A smaller American contingent remained at Camp Reedo in southern Estonia.
The November arrival will restore the rotational presence to a level comparable to what it was before the pause.
Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna told Estonian public broadcaster ERR that Tallinn had argued for a continued US presence in the Baltic states and Poland.
Tsahkna said Estonia was prepared to cover the costs of hosting allied troops if necessary.
He added that the country was investing 5.4 percent of its gross domestic product in defense this year and described its relationship with Washington as one built on trust.

Estonia is not the only Baltic country expecting a new US troop rotation.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said earlier this week that another American unit was en route to Lithuania.
The deployments come amid concern in the Baltic states about possible Russian actions against NATO members.
In June, Latvian intelligence said it had seen indications that Moscow might be preparing a military “provocation” against the Baltic countries or Poland.
The service assessed that Russia could seek to pressure countries supporting Ukraine through limited actions, potentially involving drones and missiles.
Officials cited in the report said such an action could also test how the US and other allies would respond to a threat against smaller NATO members.
