German firms Diehl Defence and FLANQ have signed a memorandum of understanding to combine their expertise in autonomous maritime systems.
The partnership focuses on uncrewed surface and underwater platforms that can carry sensors and effectors for naval missions.
The companies plan to improve existing systems and adapt them for new maritime operations, including area surveillance, minesweeping, or strike missions.
