Boeing Defence Australia has selected Lite Coms to supply tactical satellite communication terminals for the Australian Defence Force’s LAND 4140 modernization program.
LAND 4140, led by Boeing as primary integrator, is a multi-year effort aimed at consolidating battlefield management platforms, targeting systems, and real-time data networks for Canberra’s warfighters.
Under the agreement, Lite Coms will deliver over 100 of its proprietary LITE SAT 1.3A terminals to support beyond-line-of-sight connectivity across multi-band networks.
Adopting the solutions is set to enhance ground command, control, communications, and computer capabilities for the military.
Lite Coms has already begun shipping early production units, with initial deliveries scheduled for completion by late 2027, according to Janes.
‘Highest Level’ of Support
The 1.3-meter (4.2-foot) LITE SAT 1.3A terminal features a carbon-fiber reflector dish manufactured for tool-free assembly and automatic signal reception in under 10 minutes.
The lightweight system is also engineered to be fielded across rugged military environments, enabling users to establish a high-speed and secure satellite link in remote operational theaters.
