Dutch vehicle solutions developer Broshuis has received an order for 15 Heavy Equipment Trailers (HETs) to expand transport capacity for the Danish Armed Forces’ Leopard 2 main battle tanks.
Truck maker Scania submitted the request on behalf of the military as part of an ongoing partnership, with the Swedish company providing the tractor units and Broshuis supplying the trailers.
Distributions are slated for later this year, expanding Copenhagen’s operational ground defense logistics fleet to more than 60 platforms across its military branches.
The expansion follows Denmark’s adoption of 44 Leopard tanks in the modern 2A7 configuration, all delivered and now operational in support of domestic security and related efforts across NATO and the broader Europe.

Broshuis’ HET System
Engineered for off-road and highway transport, the Broshuis HET features an 85-tonne (187,393-pound) payload capacity that can reach 90 tonnes (198,416 pounds) when paired with heavier tractor vehicles.
The platform is built with a 900-millimeter (35-inch) loading deck height, 600 millimeters (24 inches) of suspension travel, hydraulic compensation, and auxiliary steering to navigate terrain with slopes of up to 18 percent.
Last year, Broshuis received a separate order for 39 HETs for delivery to the Dutch Armed Forces, with usage tied to the military’s incoming Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks.
Broshuis also has a long-term partnership with the US Armed Forces, supplying up to 557 trailers for the service in partnership with Oshkosh Defense through 2031.
