Multiple domestically developed drones crashed or malfunctioned during a military exhibition in South Korea, with officials pointing to possible frequency interference during the demonstrations.
At the 2026 Defense Drone Technology Exhibition, a small jet-powered uncrewed aircraft developed by Korea Aerospace Industries crashed immediately after takeoff.
The company launched a backup aircraft, but it also went down shortly afterward, reportedly after operators lost control.
