Turkish defense firm Aselsan has signed a new deal with Polish armored vehicle maker AMZ-Kutno for additional ARSUS reconnaissance and surveillance systems.

The agreement expands the companies’ cooperation on the system, according to a report by Anadolu Agency. Neither company disclosed the value of the deal, while defense industry reports put the order at 24 ARSUS sets.

ARSUS is a reconnaissance and surveillance system that combines sensors and other equipment to help armored vehicle crews detect, identify, and track objects at longer ranges.

The systems are being integrated into the Kleszcz program, which is based on AMZ-Kutno’s 4×4 armored vehicle. The two companies signed a 16.6-million-euro ($19.3-million) contract in 2024 covering radar and electro-optical systems for the vehicles.

Aselsan said it plans to expand its presence in Poland through its local office, ongoing projects, and partnerships with Polish defense companies. The company already works with AMZ-Kutno on Poland’s Kleszcz light reconnaissance vehicle program.

Poland-Turkey Defense Ties

The new deal is the latest step in a defense relationship between Turkey and Poland that has grown over the years.

In July, the two countries discussed expanding defense industry cooperation during Turkish defense industry chief Haluk Görgün’s visit to Warsaw. He met with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz to discuss existing areas of collaboration and potential new projects.

The talks followed a security cooperation agreement signed by the two countries in December 2025 covering information sharing, joint military exercises, intelligence cooperation, and defense industry development.

The agreement also called for closer coordination within NATO and preparations for the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara, while Poland pledged to support Turkey’s participation in European defense projects.
