Axon Vision Wins $4.9M Deal for New ForceField Counter-Drone System

Israeli defense company Axon Vision has secured the first order for its ForceField counter-drone system under a deal worth up to 15 million new shekels ($4.9 million).

The order comes months after Axon Vision launched ForceField and follows a series of live-fire trials in which the system detected, tracked, and engaged drones and other low-altitude aerial threats.

Axon Vision expects to deliver the systems within the next 12 months.

ForceField is designed to protect maneuvering forces, combat vehicles, and tactical positions from drones. It combines passive electro-optical sensors, Edge AI, autonomous decision support, and a kinetic weapon system in a single platform.

Axon Vision also designed the system for integration with existing military platforms and standard weapons and ammunition. Its sensor and AI components can be used as part of the complete ForceField system or as a modular layer.

ForceField Expands

ForceField was launched in July as a compact counter-drone system built around what Axon Vision calls a “Detect, Understand, Respond” cycle. Its 360-degree electro-optical sensor array provides day and night detection, while onboard AI classifies, tracks, and prioritizes threats before a human operator authorizes an engagement.

The system has already been demonstrated in more than one configuration. In July, Axon Vision and Israeli drone safety company ParaZero Technologies tested a version of ForceField integrated into ParaZero’s DefendAir system.

That configuration is intended for sites such as airports, energy facilities, critical infrastructure, and other locations where a controlled, non-explosive interception may be preferable to firing a weapon.

Axon Vision has also been working with US defense contractor Leonardo DRS to expand its AI-based systems in the US market.
