Elbit Expands Global Footprint With $270M ISR and Targeting Payload Contract

Israeli defense company Elbit Systems has secured contracts worth approximately $270 million to provide intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and targeting payloads for an international customer.

The six-year deal encompasses systems from the company’s SPECTRO family of proprietary multispectral electro-optical solutions tailored for aerial, maritime, and ground missions.

These pods integrate mid-wave infrared, visible, and short-wave infrared imaging channels with artificial intelligence analytics and laser designation, delivering long-range target identification, tracking, and geolocation capabilities in complete darkness and severe weather.

The firm implied that the order’s key component will include the SPECTRO ISR subvariant AMPS NG, which combines airborne-compatible architecture with advanced image processing, extending detection for day and night deployments.

Elbit did not reveal the customer’s identity for security concerns nor the specific airframes that will receive outfitting.

“Elbit Systems is a global leader in the field of ISR & Targeting solutions, providing modern armed forces with a comprehensive portfolio of advanced capabilities designed to address a wide range of operational requirements,” said Bezhalel Machlis, president and CEO of Elbit Systems.

“Through our innovative technologies, we enable customers to enhance situational awareness, intelligence gathering and mission effectiveness in today’s complex operational environments.”
