A liquid-fueled platform is at the center of GE Aerospace’s new approach to testing emerging hypersonic technologies with greater control and precision.
Under the Hypersonic and High-Cadence Airborne Testing Capabilities (HyCAT) program, the Ohio-based defense firm will build a test bed combining booster and cruiser systems.
Together, they will form an integrated all-up-round (AUR) platform that allows engineers to collect real-world data on how hypersonic technologies perform under actual flight conditions.
