Bell Textron Expands Center in Alabama

Defense contractor Bell Textron has completed the expansion of its center in Huntsville, Alabama, that will support administrative tasks for the company and its partners.

The site was first launched in 2018 to focus on developing next-generation vertical lift solutions, including systems for the US Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program, which aims to replace the service’s UH-60 Black Hawk and AH-64 Apache helicopters.

The firm noted that the renovation resulted in more briefing and conference spaces, bolstering the office’s operations in the region.

“Bell has come a long way since we initially opened the office here in Huntsville,” Bell Textron Strategic Pursuits Executive Vice President Jeffrey Schloesser stated.

“In the last few years, Bell has been selected to deliver the US Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft to the nation’s warfighters, and we continue to expand our vertical lift solutions across our portfolio. By expanding our footprint in Huntsville, Bell can increase support for both ongoing and future efforts.”

Bell announced separate infrastructure work earlier this month in Kansas to support the fuselage assembly under the US Army’s FLRAA program.

In March 2024, the company opened a laboratory in Texas to trial weapon systems that will be fitted into the future FLRAA platform.
