Hanwha Explores Integration of Ultra I&C C2 System With Chunmoo MRLS
Ultra Intelligence & Communications (I&C) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hanwha to integrate its ADSI command and control (C2) gateway with Hanwha’s K239 Chunmoo Multiple Rocket Launcher System.
The ADSI is designed for seamless interoperability between various platforms, featuring advanced data translation.
It supports the creation of an integrated, interoperable, and networked C2 architecture for the Five Eyes alliance and beyond.
The alliance comprises the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
“The threat environment has indeed become more complex where seamless joint interoperability across all domains is a must,” President and CEO of Hanwha Defense USA Mike Smith said.
Chunmoo MRLS
The Chunmoo rocket artillery system is in service with South Korea, Poland, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
It is equipped with a dual pod launcher that can fire rockets of two different calibers simultaneously.
The system’s effective range is 36 kilometers (22 miles) to 290 kilometers (180 miles), with a rate of fire of six rounds per 30 seconds.
“This partnership, and ultimately the incorporation of ADSI with the Chunmoo missile system, will enable unprecedented synergy among our global mission partners,” President of Ultra I&C’s command, control, intelligence, and encryption division Bradford Powell said.
