AirBoss to Supply Protective Equipment, Charge System to US and Allied Customer
AirBoss Defense Group (ADG) has received $22.3 million in contracts to supply critical protective equipment and charge solutions for the US military and an allied nation.
The first contract, valued at $18.5 million, seeks the delivery of the company’s AirBoss Molded Glove (AMG) for the Defense Logistics Agency.
AMG is developed with “superior” protection against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats as well as various toxic industrial substances.
The equipment features optimal fit, comfort, and enhanced functionality while fully integrating with existing field capabilities.
Work for the contract will take place over three years.
“With these latest two contracts, ADG continues to provide customers with unique protective and survivability solutions,” AirBoss President and Chief Operating Officer Chris Bitsakakis stated.
“We look forward to providing [the Defense Logistics Agency] with this critical glove system now and in the future to ensure the safety of warfighters in austere environments and challenging conditions.”
Bandolier for Allied Partner
The second contract for $3.8 million orders an extended delivery of AirBoss’ Bandolier multipurpose explosive charge systems for 12 months.
Bandolier is a lightweight and compact energetic solution deployable for mobility, counter-mobility, and survivability missions.
It is designed to bridge gaps between complex, large, single-role explosive charges and standard bilk demolitions.
“We are also excited to have extended ADG’s supplier relationship for the Bandolier line charge system,” Bitsakakis expressed.
“The Bandolier is an important part of ADG’s portfolio of survivability solutions and demonstrates the ADG team’s ability to innovate to meet the unique needs of its customers.”
