An Australian Army 4th Brigade soldier launches a Black Hornet Nano Unmanned Aerial System during urban operations training at the RAAF Williams, Point Cook on 26 May, as a part of Exercise Abel Diemen 2023. *** Local Caption *** The 4th Brigade is conducting Exercise ABEL DIEMEN across locations in Victoria and Tasmania from 19 to 28 May 2023. The 10-day training exercise provides soldiers with the opportunity to practice the types of tasks applicable in domestic and regional security operations following an ADF Call-Out under provisions for Defence Force Aid to the Civil Authority (DFACA), as well as carry out training to improve and maintain Foundation Warfighting skills.
