The UK has held its first-ever “Drone Wars” competition, bringing together more than 23 teams of soldiers from armored units and engineering units across the British Army to test their drone warfare skills.
Held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the competition challenged teams to complete six tasks along a patrol route, testing their ability to operate different drone systems in a range of battlefield scenarios.
Using first-person view (FPV) drones, participants had to strike a moving vehicle, fly into a bunker and destroy it, and hit a target using video captured by a separate drone.
