The US Air Force has contracted StandardAero to deploy its Maintenance Insight predictive analytics tool in support of the F100-220 engines powering more than 175 F-15 combat aircraft.
The agreement marks the fifth propulsion system in the military’s fleet to adopt the Arizona-based company’s proprietary software suite.
Hosted on the military’s cloud ecosystem, the solution uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital twin technology to analyze potential failure modes inside the equipment.
The real-time output guides aircrews on preventive maintenance, scope of work, and associated planning to extend the fleet’s operational readiness.
StandardAero previously developed diagnostic models with the US Air Force for the T56 powering the C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, the J85 engine on the T-38 Talon supersonic jet trainer, the TF33 on the B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber, and the TF39 engine inside the C-5 Galaxy airlifter.
“The Air Force has been on the leading edge of Predictive Maintenance philosophy and implementation, and StandardAero is proud to have been part of that journey,” said Marc Drobny, president of the military, helicopters, and energy division at StandardAero.
“Our solution can deliver long term reduction of maintenance costs, and improvements in deployment readiness and time on wing for the fleet. We stand ready to expand this solution to other engine platforms.”

The award follows StandardAero’s selection on a $343-million project to deliver comprehensive services for the C-130 aircraft’s T56 engines operating under the US Air Force and foreign military sales partners.
In July, the firm collaborated with GE Aerospace to assemble and maintain the CT7 engines planned for the UK Armed Forces’ incoming New Medium Helicopters.
The company also supports powertrains beyond airborne capabilities, providing long-term repair and overhaul for engines fitted into the US Navy’s amphibious hovercraft fleet.
