European defense giant KNDS has partnered with French company AERIX Systems to manufacture the AXS-μ1, an interceptor drone designed to take down enemy unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
The collaboration expands the physical defeat capabilities of KNDS’ Tactical Advanced Response for Ground, Air and Surface threats (TARGAS) counter-UAS suite.
Under the agreement, the companies will pair the AXS-μ1 with the Raptor 2 electronic countermeasure system from Paris-based Nuances Technologies.
