BAE Systems Tests BATS ‘Sense, Decide, Effect’ Chain Against Drones

BAE Systems has validated the counter-drone capabilities of its Anti Threat System (BATS) in live trials against uncrewed aerial threats over two weeks.

Conducted in Scotland, the tests demonstrated BATS’ ability to sense inbound threats, decide appropriate responses, and execute engagements through an integrated command-and-control network.

The system combined data from multiple sensors into a single operational picture, allowing operators to confirm targets, distinguish false threats, and respond to evolving aerial threats.
