OKSI’s AI Seeker Gives Missiles the Smarts to Track Targets on Their Own

US firm OKSI is giving missiles and precision munitions a new “brain” that lets them autonomously detect, track, and engage static and moving threats, even in GPS-denied environments.

Known as Intelligent Seekers, the system combines electro-optical and infrared sensors with computer vision, target tracking, terminal logic, and guidance, navigation, and control algorithms.

Rather than relying on external guidance, the seeker uses onboard computer vision to maintain target tracking across speeds ranging from low subsonic to hypersonic.
