A British armored platform is being transformed into a command hub for uncrewed ground vehicles (UGVs), potentially bringing the UK army closer to its vision of a hybrid fleet.
British firms ARX Robotics and General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) are exploring how Hector UGVs could operate alongside the Ajax fighting vehicle using Generic Vehicle Architecture.
The architecture provides a common digital standard that allows different military platforms to share data and coordinate tasks without requiring extensive bespoke modifications.
