Indra is advancing the development of up to 147 Tarsis drones for Spain, moving the European nation closer to fielding its first domestically produced tactical unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
The aircraft will be delivered under Madrid’s Special Modernization Program for Medium-Range Unmanned Aerial Systems (SANTAM), a 364-million-euro ($420-million) effort supporting the Spanish Army, Navy, and Air and Space Force.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028.
