The Indian Air Force has launched its inaugural Dronathon 2026 in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, bringing domestic defense companies, startups, and other innovators into three days of operational drone trials.
Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit inaugurated the event at the Pokhran Field Firing Range.
The Dronathon moves emerging technologies beyond controlled demonstrations and into demanding field conditions, allowing military evaluators to assess their reliability, effectiveness, and adaptability against evolving threats.
