The Pentagon is expanding its military use of AI, adding Starshield AI’s Grok for Government and OpenAI’s ChatGPT Mil to its GenAI.mil platform for unclassified work.
Both tools are accredited for Controlled Unclassified Information at Impact Level 5, allowing them to handle sensitive but unclassified defense information.
The two tools are aimed at different tasks: Grok will support acquisition research and supply chain management, while ChatGPT Mil will handle planning, policy, logistics, and administrative work.
