SMARTSHOOTER has secured a $13-million contract to deliver its SMASH 2000L advanced fire control solutions for the US Army.
The devices, also called the SMASH 3000s, are the company’s lightest handheld fire control product and use artificial intelligence, computer vision, and advanced tracking algorithms to assist users, particularly rifle units, in assault operations.
It measures 164 millimeters (6 inches) long, weighs 740 grams (1.6 pounds), and is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack for up to 72 hours of assisted shots.
They will be fielded under the army’s “Transformation In Contact” project, which promotes rapid testing and adoption of emerging technologies for modern warfare.
Work for the contract will be facilitated by SMARTSHOOTER’s American subsidiary in Virginia.
‘Precision in Every Shot’
According to the Israeli firm, the SMASH 2000L provides “unmatched accuracy” against ground and aerial hostiles, including autonomous aircraft.
The fire control system has a battle-proven record in the Israel Defense Forces’ offensive against Hamas in Gaza, and is currently employed by NATO militaries as well as the US armed forces.
In the latest acquisition, the devices will be distributed to US Army dismounted combat formations for counter-drone missions.
“We are honored by the US Army’s continued confidence in our SMASH technology,” SMARTSHOOTER CEO Michal Mor remarked.
“With SMASH 2000L, dismounted Soldiers are empowered with advanced fire control capabilities, ensuring precision in every shot—even in the most complex and high-pressure scenarios. The current contract is a significant step toward Army-wide fielding, and we are committed to supporting this important initiative.”
