Czech Republic Selects Exail to Enhance Land Vehicle Navigation
The Czech Republic has chosen Exail to provide its artillery command and reconnaissance vehicles with Advans Series Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), ensuring precise positioning and operational reliability in the field.
Exail’s fiber-optic gyroscope-based navigation systems maintain accurate positioning and orientation, even when Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals are jammed or unavailable.
“The Advans Series INS meets our need for a highly reliable, precise system that will enable the Czech forces to operate effectively in the most demanding environments,” stated the Czech Republic’s Ministry of Defense’s military-technical institute.
Additionally, the systems resist spoofing and jamming threats for reliable navigation during command and reconnaissance missions.
“With this new contract, Exail further strengthens its position in land defense navigation, building on recent successes in Northern Europe, Spain, France, and the UK,” said Jean-Baptiste Fruchart, Regional Sales Manager at Exail.

Advans Series Inertial Navigation Systems
Exail’s Advans Series INS is already in use by more than 20 land defense forces worldwide, supporting combat vehicles, optronic turrets, radars, and air defense systems.
Featuring a plug-and-play design with open protocols, the system allows seamless integration and on-site installation by military units, enhancing operational readiness.
The Advans Series offers three different platforms tailored to various operational needs.
Advans Ursa is a cost-effective system designed for tactical vehicles, while Advans Lyra provides mid-range precision for navigation and pointing applications.
Advans Vega is a high-performance INS for long-range missions, supporting extended deployments and complex operational scenarios.
Both Lyra and Vega offer rapid target acquisition, quick system initialization, and real-time data processing for advanced weapon platforms.
