Aselsan Seeks to Expand Latin American Footprint at LAAD Expo

Aselsan is set to highlight its advanced defense and security solutions at this year’s Latin America Aerospace and Defence (LAAD) exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Turkish defense contractor will use the event to demonstrate its latest technologies and strengthen partnerships across the region’s military and security sectors.

At the event, the company will showcase a range of flagship products, including the TULON guided munition, SADAK 2T twin drone storage rack, GÖZDE 82 laser precision guidance kit, and LGK 82 laser guidance kit for air-launched munitions.

It will also present its security and communications solutions, such as the MİDAS intrusion detection system, the ODAKAN “CityGuard” surveillance system family, and the ASTELA 3710 mission-critical handheld radios.

Aselsan emphasized that LAAD provides an opportunity to highlight its expertise and mission-ready solutions for the Brazilian defense sector and the broader Latin American market.

The company has already delivered key defense projects across the region, including the upgrade of Chile’s Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks and border security enhancements for several South American nations.

Last year, it further expanded its presence by opening a new office in Santiago, Chile.

“I believe LAAD will serve as an ideal platform to strengthen ties with our partners in the region,” Aselsan CEO & President Agment Akyol commented on the firm’s LAAD 2025 participation.

“From modernization programs to precision-guided munitions and public security technologies, we are confident that our field-proven systems will effectively meet the region’s defense and security requirements.”
