Sentrycs to Install Anti-Drone Solutions for Latin American Customer

Sentrycs has received a multi-million-dollar award to integrate its counter-unmanned aerial system technologies for an undisclosed Latin American defense customer.

Under the effort, the Tel Aviv-based company will provide fixed, portable, and vehicle-mounted versions of its anti-drone kits to address the user’s multi-layer defense requirements against evolving autonomous airborne threats.

Part of the countermeasure devices will be used for low-footprint protection across military bases, mobile operations, special forces missions, and VIP security.

Moreover, the customer will use some of the packages for drug interdiction and other crime interventions.

Sentrycs’ cyber radio frequency kits can operate individually or combined depending on mission sets “without requiring extensive training or particular skills” from ground crews.

Each system features “plug and play” activation for continuous drone monitoring day and night, even in domains with signal jamming and spoofing.

Data collected by these systems include altitude, speed, coordinates, and last known location.

‘Pivotal Role’

The South American country’s selection of the Sentrycs anti-drone solutions was based on evaluations focusing on stealth features.

During trials, Sentrycs’ technologies “outperformed over a dozen competitors” during scenarios where devices are needed to remain undetectable throughout simulations.

Additional factors involved the Israeli company’s local availability in the region and reference from an existing in-country user that had collaborated with Sentrycs on previous initiatives.

“Recent events in Latin America, including heightened defense challenges and increased unauthorized drone use in criminal activities, underscore the pressing need for advanced airspace security,” Sentrycs Chief Revenue Officer Jason Moore stated.

“This milestone contract is a testament to Sentrycs’ ability to deliver unmatched solutions for today’s most pressing drone security challenges.”

“We are proud to play a pivotal role in enhancing national security for this region and look forward to supporting this air defense strategy with our innovative technologies.”

Deal in Europe

Sentrycs secured a similar contract in March 2024 to install its counter-unmanned aerial system solutions for a European customer.

The framework ordered the fielding of the devices across military bases in the region, where they will be used to improve intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.
