Iveco to Supply Over 1,400 Next-Gen Logistics Trucks to Italian Army 

Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) has signed a 755-million-euro ($786 million) contract with the Italian government’s land armaments directorate to supply 1,453 tactical-logistics trucks.

IDV is the defense division of the Turin-headquartered Iveco Group.

The purchase marks an important step in the modernization of the Italian Army’s tactical-logistics fleet, with delivery from 2025 to 2038.

Next-Gen Vehicles

Under the contract, a variety of platforms will be delivered based on the new IDV truck range, featuring tactical cabins.

The next-generation vehicles range from personnel and material transport to water tankers, fuel tankers, container carriers, recovery vehicles, and towing systems.

They are designed to provide the highest level of “mobility, safety, maneuverability, and reliability,” the global vehicle manufacturer stated.

“Entering into this new contract with the Italian Army reaffirms IDV’s ability to contribute advanced technologies, manufacturing capabilities and supply chain governance to meet the most demanding requirements of its global customer base.”
