Moreover, Lockheed Director of Sustainment Business Development Michael Biorn met with Palaparthy Venkat Shivanand, Deputy Commander of the Indian Air Force, “to discuss future opportunities for collaboration in aerospace and defense.”

Lockheed Martin in the Gulf

Lockheed has received multiple orders from Gulf countries in recent years.

In March, the company completed its first F-16 Block 70 aircraft for Bahrain, following a $1.1 billion contract signed in 2018.

That same month, Lockheed delivered its first Patriot Advanced Capability–3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) to Manama as part of a $2.5 billion deal, which includes 60 PAC-3 MSEs and 36 Patriot MIM-104E Guidance Enhanced Missiles.

In addition to Bahrain, the American defense giant has long-standing relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In 2022, Lockheed announced a $1 billion investment to support Riyadh’s military production boost, collaborating with local companies to develop and manufacture new systems under the country’s “Vision 2030” development plan.
