Teledyne FLIR has introduced its Cerberus XL, a counter-drone solution that can detect up to 500 targets simultaneously.
According to the company, the trailer-mounted counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) leverages advanced imaging systems and long-range radars to quickly locate and track drone targets.
It also employs third-party non-kinetic effectors to disrupt hostile UAS at a maximum distance of 3 kilometers (1.9 miles).
“Cerberus XL C-UAS addresses the entire counter-drone kill chain, including detect, track, identify, and defeat,” Teledyne stated. “The platform … features sensors with advanced (artificial intelligence) to boost target identification accuracy.”
The solution has already demonstrated its effectiveness in Ukraine, helping Kyiv’s forces to neutralize sophisticated Russian drones.
‘Designed for Most Challenging Environments’
The modular Cerberus XL can be configured for air, ground, and maritime use, providing multi-domain situational awareness.
It is also designed to ensure uninterrupted air security, even in the most challenging environments.
The C-UAS solution integrates the company’s Cameleon command-and-control system for mapping, track display, camera control, and mission recording.
“The Cerberus XL C-UAS is one of the most sophisticated, sensitive, and comprehensive counter-drone systems available anywhere,” Teledyne FLIR Defense President JihFen Lei stated.
“Battle-tested and proven in Ukraine, Cerberus brings together the superior surveillance and radar technologies FLIR Defense has innovated for decades.”
