Conti Federal has received a $29.6-million contract to build a US Army Reserve Training Center in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
Located at Fort Buchanan, the facility will include a training building with classrooms, arms storage, an assembly room, restrooms, and storage spaces.
Construction will adhere to antiterrorism force protection, physical security measures, and seismic code standards.
Work on the infrastructure project will be finalized by February 2027.
“We are honored to contribute to the readiness and resilience of our nation’s military forces especially the critical components of our National Guard and Reserve forces prepared to deploy and execute crucial missions at a moment’s notice,” Conti Federal Project Executive Pat Hogan stated.
“We look forward to partnering with [Army Corps of Engineers] Louisville to deliver a successful project. Our team brings valuable experience from previous projects in the region, and we look forward to delivering a state-of-the-art Army Reserve Training Center at Fort Buchanan.”
Fort Buchanan is the only US Army installation in the Caribbean island and the Greater Antilles region.
It supports about 130,000 American soldiers and defense civilians and coordinates with approximately 30 US federal agencies located in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
