Texas engineering company KBR has received a $60.7-million contract to deliver cybersecurity services for the Defense Health Agency (DHA).
DHA is a US Department of Defense arm responsible for all medical units providing care to the joint forces and combatant commands stationed internationally.
Under the agreement, KBR will provide cyber-associated services, risk management, and information assurance to locations in the US and abroad.
The firm will partner with the Naval Information Warfare Center – Atlantic to evaluate and authorize corresponding execution, cyber tool development, security control assessments, and maintenance work.
KBR will facilitate the project for one year. It will be followed by a three-year extension if all options are exercised.
“This work is critical to the protection and security of the Defense Health Agency’s infrastructure, which impacts the Military Health System as a whole,” KBR Government Solutions President Byron Bright said.
“This is a new contract for KBR and we’re excited to demonstrate our high-end services and sophisticated cyber expertise in support of [Naval Information Warfare Center] Atlantic’s continuous drive for innovative cybersecurity technologies and solutions.”
