BAE Systems has been awarded $86 million to continue supporting the US Navy’s Mobile Deployable Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (MDC5ISR) programs.
The navy’s C5ISR is a network of situationally-aware decision-making capabilities that aid the forces in various missions and field operations.
Under the five-year follow-on contract, the company will provide engineering and technical services for new and legacy MDC5ISR capabilities.
Small craft, transportable systems, en-route communication systems, and intra-platform systems for the US Navy, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security, and other agencies will also be covered by the program.
BAE Systems Integrated Defense Solutions Vice President and General Manager Lisa Hand said the company brings an unmatched level of expertise to the program as its leading integrator.
“We have provided quick reaction, integrated C5ISR solutions on this program for more than 35 years and we are proud to continue our support to warfighters deployed around the globe,” she shared.
Work for the program will be performed in Lexington Park and St. Inigoes, Maryland, and Little Creek, Virginia.

BAE has worked closely with the navy in developing and implementing the C5ISR program since 2012.
Initially one of the seven awardees for the program’s indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts, it managed to acquire life cycle sustainment and rapid integration roles as development progressed.
In 2022, the navy awarded the company with a $137-million contract to facilitate the training of navy personnel and help them familiarize them with the system.
