MBDA Germany has clinched an export order for its latest shoulder-fired guided missile system, the Enforcer.
A company spokesman confirmed the procurement to Hartpunkt. However, no order details were provided, such as value, quantity, timeline, or the customer’s identity.
The same “effector-visor configuration” that Germany ordered in 2020 has been procured, the outlet added.
The German version features Hensoldt’s Dynahawk fire control sight.
German Order
It comes months after the system’s full-scale production began at the end of 2023 in support of the German order.
The initial 76-million-euro ($81 million) order was for 850 missiles with the potential to procure up to 3,087 missiles.
Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2024.
The Enforcer
Berlin picked the lightweight guided system to complement the Wirkmittel 90 shoulder-launched unguided missile.
According to Hartpunkt, the system was chosen on the basis of the German military’s operational experiences, where dismounted troops lacked a weapon to take on heavy machine gun-wielding groups of enemy soldiers.
The 12-kilogram (26-pound) weapon offers precise strike capability against both static and moving targets, even in confined spaces.
It is designed for lightly armored targets with an effective range of 2,000 meters (6,562 feet).
