Digital consulting company Raft LLC has received a contract to develop a software factory for US Air Force Cyber Operations (AFCYBER).
A software factory is an organized collection of proprietary tools, cyber components, applications, and associated assets required to meet the digital requirements of a specific organization.
Under the agreement, the firm will design, produce, integrate, and scale the software factory by leveraging the US Department of Defense’s Platform One cyber enterprise solution as the baseline.
Platform One incorporates a group of cloud-enabled servers to sustain and secure the US military’s unified network.
The resulting platform will operate in multiple cloud environments and at different classification levels to provide necessary hybrid cloud solutions for the department’s software and data applications.
Furthermore, the solution will serve as a Joint Development Environment for the US defense’s Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture.
Raft will apply its industry expertise to support AFCYBER by planning, building, and deploying enterprise-level software, related data, and artificial intelligence capabilities throughout the effort.
“DevSecOps and DataOps for offensive cyber operations are unique in nature. Leveraging our established Hardware in the Loop and Data Fabric best practices, we look forward to positively impacting a change in cyber operations,” Raft Chief Technology Officer Bhaarat Sharma stated.
Raft Chief Growth Officer Jake Buikema added, “Enabling AFCYBER is not just a commitment to the mission, it is a declaration of unwavering dedication to our nation’s defense in both physical and digital domains.”
