Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) subsidiary Mission Technologies has received a $148-million recompete task order to support the US Air Force bomber fleet.
Services will be provided for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Bombers Directorate (AFLCMC/WB), a group overseeing the US Department of Defense’s bomber assets, including the B-1 Lancer supersonic heavy bombers, B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, and B-52 subsonic strategic bombers.
The directorate is also responsible for training, organizing, and equipping tasks associated with the B-21 Raider aircraft under development.
Maintaining ‘Warfighter Advantage’
HII’s contract will provide advisory and assistance to streamline military and civil service capabilities across the AFLCMC/WB.
The directorate will maintain tracking and management programs for research and development, assessments, production, modernization, life-cycle acquisition, and sustainment missions.
Work will take place over one year, including a four-year additional option.
Mission Technologies will perform most of the work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

HII signed the initial AFLCMC/WB support task order in June 2017.
