Elbit Systems has received a $55-million contract to deliver multi-layered ReDrone counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) to the Netherlands.
The package will include the solution’s stationary, deployed, and mobile configurations. Work for the contract will run for four years and come with associated training and a logistical support package.
ReDrone includes Elbit’s next-generation DAiR software, signal intelligence (SIGINT) sensors, and Commander Open Architecture Panoramic Sight (COAPS-L) electro-optical payload.
The C-UAS is fully controlled via a unified command and control system for users to obtain enhanced integrated aerial pictures and utilize high-end electronic attacks.
Furthermore, the system features active and passive sensor operability to sustain quick identification and location of multiple drones within a protected area.
ReDrone can detect and intercept threats day and night across urban and rural environments in all weather.
“The growing threat of drones creates an increasing demand for our Counter UAS solutions,” Elbit Systems General Manager Oren Sabag stated.
“We have leveraged our technology of advanced radar, signal intelligence, electro optic and electronic warfare technologies to develop an advanced, open and future ready solution for this emerging requirement of our customers.”
“We are very proud to have been selected by the Netherlands to supply this solution and further strengthen our long term partnership.”
