L3Harris and Israel Aerospace Industries segment ELTA Systems have expanded a teaming agreement to provide US and NATO-interoperable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) solutions for military customers.

The team offers a missionized Bombardier Global 6500 business jet integrated with ELTA’s latest AEW systems and Battle Management Command and Control Suite, as well as L3Harris’ proprietary communications suite.

The platform is expected to provide users with enhanced speed, altitude, and endurance at lower maintenance and operational costs than existing AEW&C systems.

“Our expanded partnership will accelerate our multi-mission AEW&C offerings to new customers and deliver industry-leading readiness rates with low operating and sustainment costs,” L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems President Jon Rambeau said.

“We’re positioned to deliver an open architecture, multi-mission platform to serve as a vital tool enabling future multi-domain operations.”

Proposing New AEW&C Solution to International Partners

ELTA and L3Harries are working with Korean Air Lines to bring forward the Global 6500 AEW&C aircraft for the Republic of Korea Air Force’s AEW&C Program, NATO’s Allied Future Surveillance and Control Program, and other related initiatives with NATO partners.

“ELTA and L3Harris’ partnership takes the experience and expertise of the two leading special mission aircraft companies to propose to the market the most advanced business jet-based AEW&C solution,” ELTA Systems President Yoav Tourgeman said.

“Our leading-edge technology, together with our long and successful battle proven experience, enables us to provide very high-performance systems on a very efficient and capable business jet platform.”

“Our best-of-breed AESA (active electronically scanned array) AEW Radar and IFF (identification-friend-or-foe) is flying today in Europe, Middle East and Asia.”
