The US Army has awarded Conti Federal Services a $70.5 million contract to construct a new B-21 Radio Frequency Facility (RF Hangar) at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.

The facility will be the seventh construction project under the B-21 Raider strategic bomber staging effort in Ellsworth.

The RF Hangar will cover 64,500 square feet (6,000 square meters) at the base.

It will include a single aircraft measurement and associated spaces for facility support, administrative works, and back shops.

The project is scheduled for completion by September 2025.

Growing Partnerships

Alongside the agreement, Conti Federal is constructing a helicopter facility at FE Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming.

The company is also working on an F-35 Fighter Alert Shelter at Truax Field in Madison, Wisconsin.

“This award is a significant win for the Conti Federal team, as this will be our first project at Ellsworth Air Force Base,” Conti Federal Program Director Ryan Kanzleiter stated.

“It is a great opportunity for us to grow our relationships with local partners and the USACE Omaha District.”

“We are very excited to begin work on the RF Hangar and to tap into our local team located out of our Rapid City office. This project will position Conti Federal well for future projects at Ellsworth Air Force Base and in the USACE Omaha Area of Responsibility.”
