Conti Federal Breaks Ground on New FE Warren Air Force Base Facility

Conti Federal Services has conducted a ground-breaking ceremony for a new combined helicopter and tactical response force facility at FE Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

The event opened work on a $140.9 million contract awarded by the US Army Corps of Engineers Omaha District in 2022 to develop an aircraft complex at the base.

The Florida-based military construction company led the ceremony alongside the 20th Air Force, the 582nd Helicopter Group, the 37th Helicopter Squadron, and the 90th Missile Wing.

Future Aircraft Complex

The complex will house the air force’s MH-139A Grey Wolf choppers once completed.

In addition to the helicopter and tactical response force facility, the FE Warren complex will include aircraft and maintenance shelters, simulator grounds, and a satellite fire station.

Other site improvements will include new runways, taxiways, helipads, and airfield lighting.

Works for the overall construction are expected to be completed next year.

“Breaking ground on this state-of-the-art facility is truly exciting for our team and we look forward to building more great partnerships in the region to support this critical mission,” Conti Federal Project Manager Jason McDonald stated.

“This new complex is an opportunity for us to showcase the Conti Federal way of getting the job Done Once, Done Right.”
