Elbit Systems has received a contract to deliver electronic warfare self-protection suites for a NATO member in Europe.

Once delivered, the capabilities will be integrated into a fighter aircraft being procured for the country.

Alongside the protection suites, Elbit will supply the customer with countermeasures dispensing systems and radar warning receivers.

The electronic warfare package is expected to provide the fighter with accurate and rapid threat detection, even in contested environments.

The technology will also enable the future plane’s aircrew to obtain reliable and timely notifications via either manual or automated response.

“We are happy to continue our long-standing ability to supply our advanced electronic warfare solutions to our customers,” Elbit Systems Electronic Warfare General Manager Oren Sabag stated.

“The contract, which follows on previous contracts, illustrates the continued confidence in our systems.”

Recent Electronic Warfare Contracts With Elbit

In November 2022, Elbit Systems was awarded a $200-million contract to supply a helicopter self-protection suite for an Asia Pacific country.

The following month, Elbit signed a $70-million agreement to provide the Royal Moroccan Army with its “Alinet” advanced electronic warfare solution.

In 2019, Elbit Systems and Portugal signed a contract to integrate complete electronic warfare suites for the Portuguese Air Force’s KC-390 multi-mission military transport fleet.
